USM is celebrating the birthday of Charles Darwin with an array of events in honor of his contribution to science and humanity. 2023 Darwin Day features a morning with donuts followed by a keynote address and afternoon events including a cake and ice cream social and t-shirt sales.

•  8 – 10 a.m.  | Donuts with Darwin | Come to the photo op with Mr. Darwin!         | Johnson Science Tower, First Floor Lobby
• 11 a.m. – Noon | Keynote Presentation by Dr. Prosanta Chakrabarty from Louisiana State University titled, "Darwin’s Evolution” | Joe Paul Student Theater
• 12:15 – 1:15 p.m. | Lunch with Dr. Chakrabarty | Chain Technology Center 102 (Student can find the sign-up sheet in TEC 103)
• 3 – 4 p.m. | Cake and Ice Cream Social | Chain Technology Center 102 | Come enjoy cake and ice cream to celebrate Mr. Darwin’s 214th birthday!
