This year’s Mississippi Philosophical Association (MPA) Conference keynote address will be presented by Dominic McIver Lopes (University Killam Professor of Philosophy, University of British Columbia), one of the most prominent currently active philosophers of art in the English-speaking world. His address is titled “AI Art and Artists: What They Are, What They Could Be, What They Should Be."

The MPA is the premier venue for philosophical work in the state of Mississippi and aims to provide space for faculty and students to present rigorous academic work with other philosophers in the state and the broader community. The event is sponsored by the Mississippi Humanities Council.
