The annual CSGS Showcase is a day of engaging discussions and scholarship focused on the Gulf South. Julia Speed, 2022 Harrison County Teacher of the Year and recent Southern Miss graduate of History (Social Studies Education) program, will discuss teaching the Gulf South.

This year's event also features presentations by Dr. Laura Mammina (Assistant Professor of History at USM) and William Browning (M.A. candidate in History, 2024-2025 Baird Fellow), each offering unique insights into the region’s history, education, and journalism.
