The Center for Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (CMCB) is hosting a series of 10 seminars with top university scientists, sponsored by Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE), Our first seminar in the series will feature Dr. Zhe Li via Zoom.
Zhe Li, Ph.D., is an experienced cancer biologist with a great interest in understanding the developmental aspect of cancer to develop novel approaches to treat and/or to prevent it. His seminar is titled, Cell-intrinsic and Extrinsic control of Breast Cancer Clonal Evolution.
His research group investigates how human cancers develop from their cells of origin in various model systems, with a focus on hormone-related cancers (i.e., breast, prostate and ovarian cancers).
He is currently an associate professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an associate geneticist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
