  2019 USM National Juried Painting Exhibition is a juried biennial exhibit
 ion featuring work by some of the top ranking contemporary painters from a
 cross the country. This exhibition celebrates the vitality and breadth of 
 practice within contemporary painting throughout the United States. Suppor
 ting events include the gallery exhibition\, an awards ceremony\, and a ju
 ror’s lecture by visiting artist\, Bill Scott. \n\nBill Scott is a natio
 nally and internationally recognized painter from Philadelphia. Scott is a
 n expert colorist\, known for his radiant paintings that blur the boundary
  between representation and abstraction. Scott is represented by Hollis Ta
 ggart Galleries\, New York\, where he has had seven solo exhibitions. He h
 as also had solo shows in London\, Philadelphia\, and San Francisco. His w
 ork is in public collections at the Asheville Art Museum\, North Carolina\
 ; British Museum\; Cleveland Museum of Art\; and Philadelphia Museum of Ar
 t\, among others.\n\nThe exhibition and events were made possible through
