Gem of the Ocean by August Wilson

Set in 1904, Gem of the Ocean begins August Wilson’s Pittsburgh Cycle that chronicles the African American experience throughout the twentieth century.  By one of America’s greatest playwrights, Gem of the Ocean is a soaring, lyrical journey of spiritual awakening.
