Performing together as a violin and piano duo since 1996, Lora Tchekoratova and Georgy Valtchev debuted at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in a concert titled "Musical Treasures from Bulgaria." Over the years, they have captivated audiences in the U.S. and Europe with their compelling performances and innovative programming, often spotlighting contemporary composers and fostering cultural exchange between the Balkans and the West.

For Stone Trail for Piano Quintet by Tabakova, the event will feature a collaboration with USM School of Music faculty: Dr. Borislava Iltcheva (violin), Dr. Hsiaopei Lee (viola), and Dr. Alexander Russakovsky (cello). Their programming blends tradition with fresh, adventurous selections, showcasing both well-loved classics and innovative works from the 20th and 21st centuries.
