The Jazz Studies Program celebrates the great legacy of Mr. Raoul Jerome, the founder and longtime Director of Jazz Studies at The University of Southern Mississippi. Raoul’s impact on generations of students, his tireless commitment to musical excellence and his passion for jazz education have left an indelible mark on our program and community. We will be honoring Raoul with the launch of the Raoul Jerome Jazz Studies Endowed Scholarship and presenting a concert featuring the Jazz Lab Band 1 with special guests, Steve Wiest on trombone and Lou Marini on saxophone.
