During this free event, the program’s research participants will present their findings discovered during the summer. A reception with light refreshments will be held in the LAB Atrium following the presentations.
Mapping Freedom is a three-year collaborative project between the digital humanities and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) that uses mapping technology, including geographic information system (GIS), and examines the pathways to freedom and citizenship taken by emancipated slaves during the Civil War and Reconstruction eras.
