Nadia Alexis is a poet, writer and photographer born in Harlem to Haitian immigrants. She is the author of Beyond the Watershed and a fellow of the Callaloo Creative Writing Workshop and The Watering Hole. She lives in Mississippi and holds a PhD and MFA from the University of Mississippi.
