Public Lecture, Dr. Constance Bailey, "Savory or Sweet? Mardi Gras Foodways of Boudin and Bread Pudding King Cakes"

Dr. Bailey, an English professor at Georgia State University, studies African American Literature & Folklore, Black Speculative Fiction, and African American Comedy and Humor.  She formerly taught at the Gulf Park Campus and is a native of Natchez, MS.  She is currently working on her first manuscript, Predicament: The Black Collegian in Popular Culture.  She and co-host Dr. Jo Hsu of University of Texas-Austin, host a podcast about academia- Unpack This, a podcast about academic misfits.
