Southern Miss alum Beto Vianna is a professor of Double Bass and Aural Skills at the State University of Maringá in the South of Brazil and holds a doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor’s Degree in Popular Music from the University of Campinas – UNICAMP in Brazil. Throughout his career, he has performed in several orchestras in Brazil and the US, including a variety of groups and musical projects ranging from jazz and Brazilian music to contemporary music.
