A concert of serious, sophisticated and silly music inspired by children’s stories and rhymes, featuring the Southern Miss Chamber Choir and C.J. Everett, piano. In addition to Fairy Tales, Op. 132 for clarinet, viola and piano by Schumann and a German lullaby (for voice and piano), the concert will also include Poulenc’ beloved Story of Babar, The Little Elephant with guest Jean-Claude Coquempot as narrator. Closing the program will be Janácek's delightful Nursery Rhymes with the Southern Miss Chamber Singers, piano, ten instruments and Nate Hettinger, conductor.
