An annual tradition, the Southern Miss Powwow will return to Spirit Park to celebrate the culture and traditions of Native peoples.

The public will be able to participate in a potato dance and intertribal dances, and enjoy powwow dancers, music, and art, as well as food from local vendors. The day’s activities will begin with Gourd Dancing at 11 a.m. and continue with Grand Entry at 2 p.m. Among other activities, the powwow will honor several of its supporters The event’s closing song is set for 7 p.m.
