The University of Southern Mississippi Symphonic Winds will hold its first performance of the spring semester, "Holocaust: A Musical Remembrance."
The program:
Stamp: Scenes from Terezin
Gould: Suite from “Holocaust”
Maslanka: Requiem
Dr. Ed Hafer, associate professor of Musicology, will join the Symphonic Winds as a special guest and will give important historical perspective on the works being performed.
This program is conceived as part of the observation of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp in January, 1945.
