More than 300 aspiring high school writers, publishers and journalists from throughout the state will share their work and learn from high-profile communicators at the Mississippi Scholastic Press Association Statewide Fall Convention, hosted by USM's School of Communication.

Keynote speaker for this event will be Jerry Mitchell, who has worked as an investigative reporter for The Clarion Ledger in Jackson, Mississippi, for more than three decades.
