The University of Southern Mississippi Band Program would like to invite you to a joint concert with the USM Concert Band and the Wind Ensemble. The Southern Miss Concert

Band is a varsity musical ensemble for the music major and non-major alike. Performing traditional band literature, the ensemble provides a performance medium for the busy student musician. The Concert Band is under the current direction of Travis Higa.

The USM Wind Ensemble proudly presents the 2025 Winds, Brass and Percussion concerto winners in concert. This concert showcases the winners of the band’s annual concerto competition held in November of each year. These students represent the best of the best at Southern Miss. Many of our concerto winners have progressed into professional careers as performers, college professors, music educators and/or representing our institution as performers in military bands across the nation. The Wind Ensemble is under the current direction of Catherine Rand.
