Join us for a day of double reed fun! Kim Woolly, bassoon, and Galit Kaunitz, oboe, will host the USM Double Reed Workshop on Sunday, February 18, 2024, on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. All middle school and high school double reed players from beginner to advanced levels are invited to attend!

Double Reed Workshop events will include master classes, performances, special topics sessions including information on reed adjusting and caring for your instruments, and a final concert with all participants in a double reed ensemble! Chemical City Reeds: Woodwind Specialists - Home and Wes Lee - WLM Repair Shop (wesleemusic.com) will be on site to help you with all of your double reed needs.

If you are a high school senior you may audition for the University of Southern Mississippi School of Music while attending the Double Reed Workshop. Please contact Dr. Woolly (kimberly.woolly@usm.edu) or Dr. Kaunitz (galit.kaunitz@usm.edu) for more information.
