The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Wind Ensemble presents its final concert of the 2023-2024 school year on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mannoni Performing Arts Center. This performance is free and is open to the public. Join us celebration of the wonderful history of our band program and tune in to watch online.  Southern Miss GRIT!.  

The Wind Ensemble is one of the premiere musical ensembles of the University. The organization presents a number of concerts throughout the academic calendar spanning a wide variety of styles from traditional to avantgarde. Performances since 1985 have included many Mississippi Bandmasters Association Conventions, All-South Honor Band, three regional College Band Directors National Association Conventions, three national College Band Directors National Associations and two Annual National Conventions of the American Bandmasters Association. The Wind Ensemble is under the current direction of Catherine Rand.
